I have ripped off my turbo inlet hose again. And this time it wasn't soaked in oil. Just my own brute force and ignorance. Are there any aftermarket replacement options? Silicone? Aluminum? |

I'll bet if you tried you could piece one together with parts from http://www.siliconeintakes.com/ |

Well done. I suppose a guy could weld a barb to the pipe for the ccv tube. I'll prolly order the parts and do it once my hose fails |

flash7210 wrote: The only drawback is that there is no fitting for the CCV hose and therefore requires you to run the EHM. I'm sure that with some more time I could figure out a way to add a CCV connection. ![]() Do you think you can make on of these work? http://www.siliconeintakes.com/holset-t ... p-500.html |

Has anyone ever successfully made or even attempted to bend 3" exhaust pipe with silicone boots to replace cac hoses? I replaced my hot side hose about a month ago with a "near fit" radiator hose it is holding up fine for now but I just found a spit in the cold side. After doing some research looking for the most available and cost efficient options, I realized the stress an corrosion they go through. I was about to order Samcos but my buddy suggested we bend up some pipe and use boots like in his powerstroke. Seems like the better option to me it would be cheaper, longer lasting, easier to clean, and I won't have to wait out the weekend to get her back on the road... Just wondering if anyone can tell me if they have done or tried this and why it will or won't work before I potentially waste money on materials... |

I had an exhaust shop make a pipe from turbo to inter cooler. But this isn't the best way to go. You really need a mandrel bender that way it doesn't shrink the pipe where it bends. Tony P. On here actually had two sets made by a mandrel bender. I was going to buy his second set but decided not too. |

I have Samcos, but at that time the ID parts hoses weren't available. http://www.idparts.com/liberty-crd-sili ... -4804.html |

So far its holding up great. I think the silicone couplers have enough flex and the air filter box isnt exactly bolted down. Eventually I will figure out a way to attach the CCV hose so that the EHM isnt required. |

Or that's just what I would try |

So I totally screwed up the aluminum elbow trying to add a port for the ccv/provent. Now I've gone back the the rubber inlet hose and now have a Provent installed. |

I've been run a similar set on my jeep for about a year now. I went with a large cone type filter because I found the air box to be brittle and baulky. I didnt run my EHM in to it kind of defeats to purpose in my mind. Im not going to empty my provent down my intake right. Leave it out if you have the GDE tune you can get rid of the air box. I made my oun intake as well it was pre weeks kit. All eBay parts. Works great just cleaned the hose today and they looked spotless.

I've tried getting rid of the air filter box and using a cone type air filter but during the summer my intake air temps were too high. The stock air filter box does a better job of getting cool outside air into the engine. So far, the provent is doing its job and keeping oil from getting into the intake hoses. |
