I intend to replace my fuel filter. It is an export 2.8CRD 2003. it has a Racor head as standard and a very expensive looking fuel filter housing. Do you have to buy the whole housing or are they replaceable filters? if so what size are they? |

Those who have converted to Racor - are normally using the R245 racor head and typically a R25S filter - that's 2 micron (like BioH's writeup - http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=98&t=36977) however those are the conversions - whether that filter will fit a stock Jeep - has not been confirmed a couple of folks were going to try - but I don't remember them posting results it looks the same in pictures - also if you're ordering online - make sure they have a picture - I've seen some posting where it shows the filter paper only and list the same number |

Don't know why they replaced it with that cheap version on the 2005 on? cost saving I guess. |
