So I just installed new rockers today along with a new intake gasket and put it all together. Once I had it together I turned each cam by using the gears, there seems to be a very slight click in one spot on the intake side, nothing is binding or tight. I ended up taking it off and rechecking everything and could not see anything wrong, it still has a slight click on the compression stroke (even when I turn it very slowly with the wrench it makes a little tick sound, maybe a valve spring sticking because im turning it slow and no oil or pressure? Anything I should be concerned about?

Not usually. You are feeling for binding, not noises at this point. Assemble and give it a start.

I would look closely at the valve springs and keepers before fully assembling.........just to be sure. I'll be the first to admit I haven't been inside of a VM Motori, but if it was a SBC, I would check the rockers, the valve springs and keepers.

Thanks for the replies, I will leave as is, I did give the springs and keepers a thorough check the second time I went in, could not see anything out of the ordinary.

You might be just hearing the cam lobes sliding off and valves closing possibly.

It sounds crazy but to me not 1 crd sounds the same as another. Lol
