| Post subject: | Part Time / Full Time dashboard indicator issue |
For the past couple weeks my Full Time dashboard light has been on even though I'm driving two wheel drive. When I put the transmission in 4x4 full time, the Part Time dashboard light comes on. When I put the transmission in 4x4 part time, the dashboard light goes out. Any body have a quick fix or pointer? Best regards, castnblast |

There is a position switch for the indicator on the transfer case. I think you have to take apart the center console to get to it. this might help: http://www.jeepkj.com/forum/f202/how-change-transfer-case-position-switch-44188/ You can also try driving it forward and reverse, in each t-case position, a couple times to see if switch will fall back into sync with the lever. |

I have the same issue with mine. It says part time in 2WD and nothing in AWD. Replacing the switch is on the list of to dos. I haven't heard of the driving in reverse to fix the issue but I will give it a go next time I drive. |
