Euro intake tube, should be a nice way to delete the FCV without spending big $$$ Not 100% sure if its the exact same size as the stock intake, Part# 91092218F u can see it on EBAY .
Get a EGR blocking plate & good to go for under $100. What do you yall think ?

Just need the non EGR hose I think to go with it. Or can probably order a specific length online. Might not get you the easy access to the glow plugs that Weeks kit does though. If it doesn't, might as well just plug the stock set up EGR port and remove the flapper from the FCV for free.
Well, if it's reasonable to access the back bolts it might be worth it even without the ease of glow plug removal as it will free up some space :2cents:

Why not just remove the butterfly valve inside the FCV? No need to go to the trouble of finding a export elbow. This is what I did until I decided to go with the weeks elbow. Plus it still looks standard for your emission tests.

Is there a benefit to removing the butterfly plate on a clean, functioning FCV? (EGR has been removed)

I don't think so.

I guess it depends on your ECU map? if the operation of the EGR and/or FCV has not bean removed from the map, I guess its possible for the flap to close trying to help the EGR valve.

good point, it may cause more restriction than expected due to the "egr helping feature" I'd pull the flapper just to make sure it's not restricting flow. It's not hard to remove if you pull the FCV out of the jeep.

Thanks guys. I bought this Jeep with a rebuilt engine and the EGR removed. It had a "hot" Yeti tune and I opted for the GDE ECO FT tune. The FCV is operative as I can hear it close on shutoff. The only time I could see the ECO tune calling for the plate to close a bit is on deceleration...and obviously when turning off the engine. Do you see any other conditions where it may close partially hindering performance?

yeti or others maybe able to answer this, I think the ECU map varies between countries/continents, I would guess that because of your stricter emissions in the USA the valve is more likely to close more often to aid the EGR. As mountainman said just remove the butterfly.

Removing the flapper out of the FCV basically makes it totally ineffective to any engine operating condition. Removing or blocking the EGR feed to the FCV is a very good thing to do for your engine...
I did both early on before installing the Weeks elbow kit which is a great upgrade.... :-)r

Yes, I know this is old but does anyone have a picture of this using the European inlet tube?

I don't , but you might be able to pm or email mm53 for this since I doubt many used this elbow . I did get this when I did a search for the part number.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/Jeep-Cherokee- ... 6004449640

Also I couldn't find it on his link to eBay but I wonder if this UK salvage yard might be able to supply the gateway module if the same one was on the export model.

I looked at the KDP one but can't find anything on Youtube about installation.

Installation should be very straight forward . You may need some help but I am pretty sure with a few pics etc myself and others could give you any advice needed. I do remember in the last week or two a member stated they had ordered the kb Diesel kit. It may have been KRB.

With the KDP kit what do they do with the hard line coming from the EGR
