Alright. On my way to work this morning my oil light came on. I recently did an oil change, so I immediately feared something had come a bit loose, maybe I hadn't tightened the oil filter enough, etc.

Not the case. I checked the filter, no oil on it, nice and tight. Fumoto valve looks good, no oil on it. Go up top, check the oil there as well, it's right between the lines on the dipstick.

Any ideas? Thoughts?

I ran my GDE scanner and found a P0203 (appears it's time to change out the ol' ASD relay again). No other DTC's other than the expected GDE 1140.

Looking for some input here, or brainstorming.

Thanks all!

As I recall the pressure sensor is quite a common part to fail.

Isn't the pressure sensor the MAP sensor on top?

Oil pressure sending unit is down by the oil filter. I think Standard Motor Products PS317 is an aftermarket alternative.

Mine blinked a few times back in the spring, replaced it with a new one from AutoZone. Never had any more problems from it....
Apparently a common failure item? :?:

Yeah, this is pretty common I think. I had my oil pressure sensor fail recently with 126k miles on the clock.

The guy who repairs these things for a living in Finland told me that the film on the sensor loosens up when it ages and starts triggering the light.
