I am replacing the crankshaft pulley on my 2005 Jeep Liberty 2.8L CRD. Does the crankshaft pulley have a correct mounting position? I cannot locate any specific mark or indication as to any particular orientation.

Nope, no special position for it. Just tighten the 4 bolts back to spec

Need to replace crankshaft pulley, just want to verify:
Undo bolts, swap in new pulley, put bolts back in
- 4 bolts, torque spec is 24 Ft-lbs
- nothing else I need to do in regards to timing, adjustment, etc.? Thanks in Advance.

Timing is only involved when you remove the timing belt. Engine injection timing is controlled by the PCM via input by the crank position sensor.

I had one come loose, and have heard of another one, so I put blue locktite on them.

I had the same issue, had a noise coming up from up front. Replaced the idler pulleys, and tensioner when I reached down to the crank pulley and noticed 2 of the 4 bolts holding it in were missing.... Ordered a new damper, 4 bolts, and blue locktite and its been good since.

So I replaced crankshaft pulley and now I have a squeal up front. Belt appears to be in place and it did not do it on first start up. Started on test drive , thoughts?

Could be a worn out belt.
Could be a worn out belt tensioner.
Could be a bad bearing on one of your idler pulleys.
