While changing the front diff fluid today I noticed a decent amount of fluid leakage around the axle seal on the passenger side. Only pulled out 34 oz (Just over 1 quart). I'm not sure how much I put back in. I would assume 1.6, I was using multiple bottles to squeeze it in.

Can someone confirm this is the seal and not something else? Is it something I can replace without taking the diff off?



05' 190K, I have owned this Jeep for almost 1 year. I am behind on the PM and trying to catch up.

I'll be changing the back diff fluid when my new cover and seal gets here

Strictly my opinion but I'd recommend pulling the front diff and performing a re-seal all the way around. I know that changing the drivers side seal is pretty easy but the passenger side I'm not sure of.
