While changing the front diff fluid today I noticed a decent amount of fluid leakage around the axle seal on the passenger side. Only pulled out 34 oz (Just over 1 quart). I'm not sure how much I put back in. I would assume 1.6, I was using multiple bottles to squeeze it in. :-)

Can someone confirm this is the seal and not something else? Is it something I can replace without taking the diff off?

05' 190K, I have owned this Jeep for almost 1 year. I am behind on the PM and trying to catch up. :-)

I'll be changing the back diff fluid when my new cover and seal gets here :-)

Strictly my opinion but I'd recommend pulling the front diff and performing a re-seal all the way around. I know that changing the drivers side seal is pretty easy but the passenger side I'm not sure of.
