Was reading the site last night and got motivated to clean map sensor on crd2 to ck out effect of weeks mod. Unscrewed the rail sensor to make a it of room, propped up the cable removed the map screw, reached in and started to rotate a bit and pull up. Almost immediately the top of the sensor came loose leaving the body in the intake. Put the top back on and replaced the screw to keep it in place. Car runs kinda ok. Guess I ll try an easy out when the new sensor arrives. |

No matter what you do, do not let the other broken half of the sensor inside the valve cover. Pulling the valve cover off is a big job. Both belts needs to come off. Big job. |

Old trick for removing broken stuff is to super glue something to the broken thing to get a handle on it. Too much glue makes a bigger problem. |

That s good idea, maybe a small dowel with goop and let it set over night. It was running but this morning I got the five second run with a complete shutdown. I went into my shop and got a harbor freight kit that looks like dental tool. That sensor is open on the side, I might be able to hook and pull. Gonna try tonight. |

Used harbor freight pick set, no problem, nothing lost. New sensor went on, the GM sensor identified on another post, back on the road. |
