I have a problem to solve a turbo underboost error. When I clear a code it still off until the engine get warmer. There is also a lot of smoke when I start cold engine. The engine runs good most of the time, but sometimes switch to limp mode. The smoke disappeared after the engine is warm. I checked already all turbo components. Everything is Ok. The turbo hoses, turbo itself, all turbo related components ( sensors and valves) seems Ok. I have no clue what is wrong and where to look to find a faulty part. Thanks for any help. |

Probably need a new MAP sensor (or carefully clean your old one). You can buy them from Jeep dealers for $130 or Chevy dealers for about $20: GM part # 55206797 |

A new MAP sensor installed. Still have that underboost P0299 error. When the engine is cold and ECU error clean there is no check engine light . I can drive 20,30 miles and there is no code at all. The Jeep runs OK, no limp mode, no smoke. When I turn the engine off and start again the check engine light comes almost instantly. Thanks |

I'm glad to hear it is running better. Personally, I would just ignore the cel unless you need it off to pass an emissions test. |
