I'm communicating with Jim (Geordi) Hulse about coming to the San Francisco Bay Area (hopefully end of Feb/early March). I need the timing belt + water pump maintenance and am likely to do the "whole enchilada" while he's here (glow plugs, rockers, ARP studs, Model 001 thermostat, GDE tune, Weeks Kit, and Hayden fan clutch). Plus I think my turbo is going out.

I'm wondering if anyone else in the SF Bay Area is interested in bringing him out, so we can share the travel expenses?

julie

Hey Don! I wasn't planning to, because the Bay Area would be crazy expensive to drive all that way. Did you need something on your fleet? Shoot me a message and we can figure it out.

I do think this needs to be a flying trip, but that doesn't preclude other areas of the country if I can work out the travel route.

We're closing in a date - hopefully around the weekend of Feb 27-28. Anyone else want to schedule time with Jim while he's out here in the SF Bay Area?

Now would be the time to jump if you are thinking about it! I expect to be getting the flight sorted out in the next couple of days, so you have about 48 hours to think and jump in on this trip! :pepper: :pepper: :pepper: :pepper:

Geordi

Not sure if your travels are bringing you thru Denver, but if so I'd be interested in having you come by. I don't have any major issue, but as a newbie I'd appreciate having an experienced ear listen to my CRD and tell me what they think. Probably not worth bringing you out just for this, but if your were going to be in the area...

Steve

Hey Steve!

Probably not on this particular trip, however there are several other CRDs in the Denver / Colorado Springs area that had expressed interest in the past. I'm happy to put together another trip to your area - maybe you want to spearhead the effort and get people together? Winter is coming to an end, so this would be a great time to start the planning.

Hi Geordi hope all is well with you!

The weather out here use turned towards spring last week.

To any who are on the fence Geordi is a master who understands the CRD inside and out. It is well worth scheduling him to work on your rig if he is coming to your area.

San Fransisco is set, I will be back out there from the 1st to the 4th, flying out stupid early on the 5th. There is still time for a timing belt if someone needs it!
