RockAuto sells these upper control arms with greasable ball joints. The brand name is MevoTech. It includes a straight grease zerk but I replaced it with 90deg fittings to make greasing them a lot easier.
Certainly not as good as the JBA upper control arms but not nearly as expensive.

Along with these UCAs, I will spend my weekend installing new front shocks and brakes. Got all new rotors and akebono pads from Amazon.

Hmm, interesting. I've used a number of mevotech suspension and steering parts over the last ten or so years and never had any issues with the initial quality or longevity. I'm curious what problems you've had with them?

Now that I have these installed...

Put these into the category of: Seemed like a good idea at the time

The control arm, bushings, ball joint and boot all seem very good quality. But the grease zerk is in a bad place. It comes with a straight zerk but to have any hope of getting grease into it an angled zerk is better.
So I put in the angled zerks, which are a bit bigger, and at full suspention droop they are within 2mm of hitting the spring.
So we will see how long they last and if the zerks get broken off.
Those with stock suspensions will probably have no problems but anything more than 1 inch of lift will probably have problems.

Given that this upper control arm and ball joint dont support any weight, I expect they will last at least as long as the factory ones.

Or you can leave the straight grease zerk and get yourself a Lincoln 5883 (or similar) angle adapter for your grease gun. This adapter allows you to come at a zerk from the side and fill it with grease with no problem. You do have to hold pressure against the zerk to insure it stays put, but otherwise works like a charm. I have a second grease gun set up with this adapter on it for difficult to access zerks.
