I had to dig a bit to find where Kjjet posted (thanks!) that the new Cams don't use the thrust washer, so I figured I'd add to the subject, and tried to make the title where people would find it with a google search.

-Anyhow, the factory tools really make installing the oil seal quick, easy, and at the proper depth.
-The snap rings are a real :furious: with most snap ring pliers, so be ready to buy a heavy duty pair that opens more than 1.5", or suffer like I did. I bought a "heavy duty" pair that went up to 1.25", and they were inadequate.
- The cams can have a significant groove from as little as 88k miles, not sure if anyone has found a good solution for this...???
-The rear cam/ valve cover caps are reusable, but they are cheap at ID Parts, so I put new ones in. They tap out easily from the backside. I didn't put any sealer on them, because if I get pressure in there (there's supposed to be a slight vacuum from the turbo), I'd rather they pop out vs my new crank seal!
-I put mine in and the end play was nice and minimal
-if you have a cam that is slightly damaged from a collapsed rocker, I'd be curious to hear if you used it anyhow, and if it smoothed out with time, or lasted for 100k + miles. I've opted to replace any such cams, but may not be necessary.
