Hi all,

I am in Australia, Brisbane and looking at sourcing a new Euro TC (RL037142AA) for my 2006 Jeep Cherokee KJ. I've seen these for about $600USD (including shipping).
I also heard I can use the stock converter from a Hemi, but don't have part numbers.

Should I stick to the Euro TC (RL037142AA) or get the TC from a Hemi ?
If anyone can source RL037142AA and shipped to Australia, please let me know.

ps. I am getting some shuddering and will be servicing the Auto, as soon as I have all the parts.

I hear both work well. What all does the "service" include?

There are many topics on shudder {use search} and a weak TC is not always the root cause.

You can prolly find the hemi tc a lot cheaper. Check eBay, they are about 150 shipped in the states so not sure what it would cost to get to you

Servicing will be changing Auto fluid and filters and adding Dr Shudder Fix.
Just upgraded suspension, and shudder started soon after, so it is possible that it may not be the Auto.
Shudder occurs near 100kmph, and only when I accelerate hard in overdrive.
Shudder is not too bad, but I do feel the vibration a little.

I'd go with the Hemi. But, you think you're getting shudder when the TC is locked and you accelerate? Or, does it shudder when it shifts into the higher gear? Just want to make sure it sounds like shudder and not a u-joint or the like.

If I accelerate gently, all is OK.
I managed to replicate the shudder doing about 80km/h while the revs was around 2500rpm (4th gear I think).
Seems to only happen at the higher speeds and higher gears, and only lasts for a second.

What would be the part number for the Hemi TC ?

Mine did the shudder in third gear under load. I replaced the TC and pump thinking it would fix this issue, but it turned out to be failing clutches. about a 1000 miles later the transmission completely went out. I drained the pan and the fluid was full of clutch pieces. There was 151k on the transmission.
