Been trying to diagnose a weird shudder vibration issue and I just realized I have not checked the Auto transmission mount.

Are there any pictures or guides on where it is located and what part is recommended ?

The transmission mount is between the transmission crossmember and the transmission.

Ok, so it's the one in the middle, so the crossmember has to come out completely.
Found it at IDpart.com, but it looks like a very basic mount with massive voids.

Mine looked OK externally, but I suspect after 10years it might be ideal to replace it (already done engine mounts).

You might PM or email geordi. As I recall he has a simple/cheap way to test that mount that involves a couple rubber shims from like Lowe's

Yup - Just put a jack under the tailhousing of the transmission and lift it up about a half-inch or so, enough to give you sight access to the big voids.

Then using the 2" square rubber furniture footpads from Home Depot (usually in the aisle with the casters and drawer pulls) shove a couple of those pads into the space in the mount, and let the pressure off. The pads will be trapped in the mount and you should know pretty quick if the factory mount had collapsed and was causing your noise.

You can replace the big mount or just leave the pads in place as a permanent solution, if that is the source of your noise.
