There is a pick and pull wrecking yard close to me and I might be able to score some seats for around $50 for the fronts. My leather is old and cracked.

Solely from the bolt pattern and dimensions 2002-2007 seats should fit between model years. Where it gets very complicated is the fitting of simple things like airbag sensors, I know from past chat that you have to move your current passenger airbag sensor the the new seat, and "extras" such as power and heated seat wiring and controls.

For what it's worth if you shop around you can often find a local shop that can redo custom vinyl seats on your current seat frames for a very reasonable price. Leather is of course more expensive.

If KK front seats fit, then Dodge Nitro front seats should fit too.

What year KK? Did you have to modify anything or were they a drop in replacement?

Hey goat,

i'm looking at some kk seats for my kj as well. do the rears fit? also, thinking about power, sounds like the power should be pretty easy from splicing etc, but is there the heat module on the seats, or did they move them to the body somewhere? i'm hoping to just add a seat into my '06 dash, but if the module isn't on the seat, i reckon i'm SOL

Jafo:
i've also heard rumors of journey seats fitting in (i believe they have the storage in the seat too) but no guarantees as of yet.

Dont get too worked up about stock heaters - its easy enough to add aftermarket seat heaters.

Just found that out today. if anyone wants some rear leathers (the grey and tan) from an 08 limited, let me know! did you get all the wiring worked out? i can't seem to find a wiring diagram for the kk's for the life of me.

You didn't have the seat sensor to worry about?

The occupant sensor start in 2004 in the KJ. 2004 seats are unique in the way, old(2002-2004) style, but with the occupant sensor. In 2005 the seat style changed, 2005-2007 are directly interchangeable.

If the jeep has the passenger grab handle above the glove box it has the occupant sensor, which means 2004+.
