You can replace just the transfer case end CV Joint & Boot without buying the whole driveshaft.
You can remove the front driveshaft and still drive your Jeep while you are working on replacing the CV Joint & Boot.
If you do not want to tackle replacing just the joint, any good shop or mechanic should be able to perform the service for you.

viewtopic.php?p=814213#p814213But if you do decide to replace the complete driveshaft assembly, be darn sure you replace it with the same length shaft you remove.
If you install a shaft that is incorrect length, it will self destruct in short order.
