Extremely Happy!!! One of the very best modifications I have ever done to my Jeep CRD and got great results and all it cost was a $20 dollar cable off ebay and a little bit of my time....  :pepper:
I have re-flashed a bunch of times as Yeti and I experimented early on with bringing up HP and torque and then later on getting rid of the DTC's for removal of the FCV & EGR valves (Weeks kit install)... I have been running the current Stage IV Hot tune for almost two years now with zero problems... Runs like a race car and gets great fuel mileage if I keep my foot out of it!!!!

I have Yeti's mild tune on a 2006 model, and very happy with it.
Yeti is the Jedi when it comes to tuning these Jeeps.

So how does the oil look with this tune? Black ink like stock, dark brown like GDE or somewhere in between.

I think your question isn't a simple yes or no.

DIY, means you get out what you put in, and some luck.

No one had a nice off the shelf tune for my ECU software rev. So I had to make my own.

Ya I would be real happy if all I had to do was spend $20 and then load an awesome free tune.

I had to spend $20, and a fair amount of my time, to even get some basic things done like an EGR delete.

This is not even counting any sort of performance tune.

I have a GED Full torque tune and was wondering what the "Power Stroke" sound was doing to my engine.
So I got another ECM, paid GED to put my vehicle specific info in it.
Then I tried Yeti's stock with EGR and FCM delete tune.
Currently I have his mild tune and am happy with it and a quieter engine.
I haven't looked at the oil yet.

Another satisfied customer, running the weeks kit and the DTC delete tune. Its been great, great mileage and performance, and it passed the wife test.

I have a customized Yeti mild tune in combination with the Weeks delete kit. I did not see much of a fuel economy boost but the tractor drives a little bit less like a tractor and my oil doesn't get quite as dark as it used to.

I am testing all of them.

Presently, I have the mild Yeti 808 on it. The engine has become a smooth, soft sounding, powerhouse ...... it's an incredible difference. The tune takes advantage of the full potential of this Turbo diesel. The pedal response is quick, power and speed is at the ready, just fantastic.

I've installed it on the "Green Monster" that's set up for 4 wheeling.

I've yet to try the Yeti hot tune on "Rocket" that's set up for speed.

Just got done installing the Yeti stage 4 hot tune.... and wow what power and speed.

Incredible, just an unbelievable amount of smoothness and power.

Mileage increase to 25.5 from 22.3.

"Rocket" went from being fast to being dangerously fast.

I'm afraid to go any hotter than Yeti's mild tune for fear my rocket will turn more Challenger Shuttle.... My poor torque converter hates my lead foot.

The Yeti 811 stage 2 mild Hot tune is sweet, I liked it, but I decided to try and continue to use the Yeti's 811 Stage 4 Hot tune instead, because Rocket has the Euro torque converter.

I have tried both the Yeti 811 stage 2 and stage 4.
I like the stage 2 better. Seems to run smoother and has more useable power across the entire rpm range.
Of course, being that I have a stock TC, shudder can be a problem. But...

I recently started using the Ram Hemi TCM and shudder doesnt seem to happen anymore.
Which could be because of the higher transmission line pressure.
Or because the transmission now downshifts too easily under heavy load. (Which isnt necessarily a good thing)

New CRD owner here.

Million dollar question. Where does one get the Yeti tune files?
