Hi Guys,

The electric mirrors on our Cherokee 2006 CRD 2.8 Sport have stopped working, the fold away option works fine.

I have put power direct to the mirror motor and it works, so I bought a new 2nd hand switch... this one just moves the mirror every so slightly just kinds of takes up the load but does no more...??!

Duff switch...? again..

Any other parts in the system that I could can check out.?

Cheers,

db.

My issue is that after about adjusting the mirrors for about five seconds, the servo just stops working... like it overheats or something.

For 29.95 you can get a Dorman Remote / Heated unit from Rock Auto. Less for a non heated or a different aftermarket manufacturer. For that price I would have a new one there when you take the door apart the first time. Just my thought after becoming too experienced at removing door panels for window regulator change outs.

FYI, replacing the switch in the drivers door fixed my issue--both sides work fine.

It cost about $150 at the dealership.
