Post subject:  Oil cooler studs

As part of my working on head, decided to replace oil cooler+gasket. 3 of the studs need to be replaced. Do I have to use studs or could bolts be used instead? Just trying to understand the stud use. Thanks

How tight did you torque the nuts down? Service manual talks about 47.1 N-m or 35 ft-lbs but that seems more than it can handle.

It is too much. I broke one. We replaced it with a bolt.
