So after my card warms up it gets a hesitation under a load between 1800 and 2100 rpms. Has an issue starting once it's warm as well. Starts just fine if it sits and it's cold but as soon as it gets to temp it doesn't want to start. There is no mis while idling Just under load. Can't find any fuel leaks and I'm not getting a CEL. shop told me it was the egr failing but I put the weeks stage 1 & 2 kit on it and it's still doing the same thing. Having looked over the forum for a few hours now the only thing that seems to be close to the same is the cp3 failing but wanted to ask before ordering a new one.

Crank sensor

Just put one in it and didn't fix it

Another possibility: Have you replaced the cam sensor? If not, I would replace it before I started replacing very expensive parts like a CP3 pump....
Cam and Crank Sensors are two items that can be problematic in regard to temperature levels...

Did both of those at the same time when I had a no starting issue a month ago. Ending up being a broken common wire in the main loom. It starts perfect when it sits so I don't think it's a fuel pressure problem either.

With your engine fully warmed up and running at idle, grab the fuel rail pressure sensor and wiggle the harness connector. If the engine sputters or stumbles replace the harness connector.
Do the same with the MPROP connector on the CP3.

yeah just like Flash said , start with unplugging and cleaning all sensors (HARNESS) pins also ECM pins injectors connector pins make sure you're making good connections . after that we need some gauges to monitor fuel delivery . but go back to fuel tank and work your way forward , you will find it .

Checked the wiring and everything is tight and clean. Replaced the fuel line and filter just to be safe again. Re primed the system and it fired right up like always made it about 12 miles before it acted up at the same Rpms again. Got it home and the fuel primer seemed soft but it fired right up after shutting it off. Not sure what to look at from here. Thinking its air in the system somehow but I would think it would be at random Rpms not always the same Rpms.

Have you replaced your fuel filter head?
If yes, then it might be time for a lift pump.

It has the updated one filter head on it but it was that way when I got it. What kind of lift pump is recommended. As far as I can tell from research is that they don't come with a lift pump.

There are several ways of doing the lift pump.
Because you are still trying to figure out the problem, you may want to try a facet type pump. It's real easy to install without dropping the tank.
I mounted my facet pump in the engine bay and it has worked great for me for several years.

there are many lift pumps (IN TANK ) is expensive but it works well, 1st you need to diagnose this problem , start installing clear fuel lines after fuel filter to see if any air is coming in. also we see MPROP valve sticking , check fuel injector fuel return flow , seems to me that the engine is starving for fuel at that RPM, start with this basic test first ,

How do you go about checking the return line, and what exactly are you looking for when you check it? My full size dodge diesel has a Acelerator pedal position sensor sensor that gets flat spots and causes the same kind of issue. Does the jeep have any kind of sensor for throttle position that can go bad as well?

I have a carter and the sasquatch wiring harness. Works perfect

ok regarding fuel return test CUP TEST we do it to see if any injectors are worn out, in your situations ; no CEL i think for you would be easier just to instal facet lift pump , and then report here to us if any improvements , that said after that we would suggest other tests , just like monitoring fuel rail pressure on road test , clear fuel line hooked up to windshield wiper so you can watch fuel flow while you drive under load , etc … list is long , so install this inexpensive lift pump and we go from there , cheers
