| Post subject: | Whining noise on acceleration? |
Hi my 05 Liberty just started making a loud whining noise when I accelerate. It only makes the noise while accelating and not when maintaining speed. The noise is a high pitch sound that reminds me of the Jetsons cartoons personal space crafts. Engine light is not on, engine temp is normal and no loss in engine power. I have recently had the timing belt, water pump, metal glow plugs replaced at 87k miles and had the weeks stage 1 installed. Any ideas on how to track down this problem? Thanks in advance for any advice Sergio |

Maybe a crack in the intercooler or a split in one of the intercooler lines? |
