| Post subject: | Loss of power code p1189 |
Hi I recently had the weeks stage 1 intake plate come loose Which developed a whining noise from sucking air. I tighten the bolts and the noise went away however the engine light went on and I noticed a significant loss of power like if it has a 60mph governor and code reader is showing p1189 code. Where should I look for a fix? Thank you Sergio |

P1189 is for the small sensor on the side of the air box lid. |

Hi and thanks for your help. I've checked the sensor near the air box and it all appears connected unless maybe they went bad. I was able to find one old post on this forum with the exact same issues Im having and they fixed the problem which was a loose sensor. Il keep looking. Sergio |

Flash7210 you were right on the money!!! A closer inspection of the sensor revealed that it wasn't seated all the way and it was not clipped in. Thank you so very much Flash7210 for your help you salvaged my weekend. sergio |
