I went out yesterday morning to finall fit my EGR blanking plate after I had finished I started
Her up and heard a tinkling rattle coming from the alternator???
I removed the engine cover again and the rattle was coming from the ring bolted up to the alternator with a mount on top for the engine cover.
I went to nip the mounting bolts up, top/rear one was tight and the bottom two had sheard off....
One had dropped onto the steeri g rack and the other was still in its place but just turned....
I got the two sheared studs out and replaced with new bolts...

I suspect the po swung on these a little too much but glad I spotted it.
