Correct, be sure and pull MAP sensor and clean it with some brake cleaner available at any parts store or Walmart.
You may even consider replacing the MAP sensor as they can be bought online for ~20 bucks. It is a GM Part No. 55206797...
http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/oe-gm/55206797Is your EGR still in service? If so, you really need to block it off or totally remove it, this will stop all the sooty gook buildup in the intake manifold which contaminates the MAP sensor caused by the EGR...
Sasquatch also sells an elbow kit that allows the complete removal of the EGR, EGR cooler, and FCV so you can throw all that crap in the trash where it belongs!!!!
