I have the 2005 Liberty CRD. The head that the fuel filter screws into, I had one of the electrical connectors break off. It's the one on left. I can't find the part online and the part store wasn't any help. They though it was the water sensor but weren't sure. Any help would be appreciated

The actual plug ON the filter head or the plug on the wire. If the former you likely need a new fuel filter assembly-see gen 2 unit at idParts. If it's the plug on the wire it's likely a standard plug that can be sourced on in after market.

It's looks like a replaceable sensor on the filter head. But can't find what it is. Here's a couple pics of what I'm talking about.

That looks like the fuel temp sensor.
I dont think its available separately.
Its reccomended to replace the entire fuel filter assembly.

Going to order the gen 2 head from idParts. Wondering if it's OK to drive short distances till it gets here to replace the head. Thanks for the help

Without the sensor in the fuel head, it will leak fuel or allow air into the fuel system. Your engine will run very poorly like that.

As long as its no leaking its fine. If anything it may draw in air being that its under suction.

You may get a code but other than that it should be ok. you could also consider a Racor filter head and 2 micron filter if you feel up to it. It mounts in the stock location but will require a little bit of wiring for the heater, WIF, and temp sensor.
