 Post subject: vacuum pump

anybody got a photo of the vacuum pump and where it dumps into the engine? is it possible to re route where it vents? like outside of the engine? ...

The vacuum pump is behind the inner timing cover, behind the oil pump cover, mounted in the engine block.
You are welcome to tear down the engine to a bare block and figure out some way to change that but it would be much easier to use an electric vacuum pump.

i don't have a picture of the block but i don't see how you could change where it vents unless you gutted the inside of a pump (so the gear spins but doesn't actually make a vacuum) and mount an external aftermarket pump. There's also not a whole lot of room where the pump is mounted to really do anything.

Block is upside down in this picture FYI. The vacuum pump is the one on the left (labeled Bosch) and the oil pump is on the right (labelled VM)
