Hey all, How does one turn down the Sesitivity of our alarms. Is it a ECU feature and a dealer needs to do it! Everytime a big truck drives by my parked jeep, she cries. Cheers |

Cheers Are you based overseas seeing as you refer to it as a Liberty/Cherokee? The Export models have an upward facing switch inside the engine bay on passenger's side on LHD model under the hood...maybe some USA models have this as well! This switch senses if someone is trying to force the hood open while the Jeep is locked and hence sets off the alarm. This switch can seize up, have a bad connection or fail. I believe you can disable this switch by pulling off its connector but maybe you need to disable it by jumping the switch out....either way test this switch's operation with a meter! ![]() |
