I will reassemble my 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD soon. I did not disassemble very much. The intake manifold is filled with carbon grease but I think the manifold is one piece so I'll leave it for now. Is there any error which commonly results in flames under the hood. Thankyou in advance. |

Cleaning parts with gasoline or other volatile solvents while smoking a cigarette would probably cause a fire ![]() But seriously, I cant think of anything that would start a fire under normal conditions. |

We've all been tempted at some point. ![]() I pulled the fuel rail and all 4 injectors on mine the other week to do the head studs and rockers. I would assume this would be the most likely culprit being that its right on top of the engine, but it was pretty straight forward and so far no leaks. |
