I will reassemble my 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD soon. I did not disassemble very much. The intake manifold is filled with carbon grease but I think the manifold is one piece so I'll leave it for now. Is there any error which commonly results in flames under the hood. Thankyou in advance.

Cleaning parts with gasoline or other volatile solvents while smoking a cigarette would probably cause a fire

But seriously, I cant think of anything that would start a fire under normal conditions.

Hey, these vehicles can be frustrating. We've all been tempted at some point.

:ROTFL:

I pulled the fuel rail and all 4 injectors on mine the other week to do the head studs and rockers. I would assume this would be the most likely culprit being that its right on top of the engine, but it was pretty straight forward and so far no leaks.
