Looked at a couple installs of the provent. Every one I have seen so far doesn't route the collected oil back into the motor. Is it more trouble than its worth? Has anyone done this on the forum?

Drilling a hole in the pan for draining the collected oil is definitely more trouble than it's worth.

Couldn't agree with you more. I take it there is no factory hole to use ?

Simple solution; put a drain hose on the bottom of the ProVent long enough to route it down to an area near the frame rail and install a small manual drain valve on the end of the hose! Every so often, open the drain and drain the ProVent drain tube in a container and dispose of the liquid. I drain mine about once every other month and get about a shot glass (1oz.) or less out of it... :D

when you will see how the oil from the provent drain looks like , you won't want to have it back in your engine !!

For the ProVent 200:
drain hose, use 1/2 oil rated hose!
inlet & outlet, use a short piece of 1" hose, then a reducer fitting down to 3/4 hose to fit the stock CCV & air intake boot locations...
Put clamps on all connections...

See this web page for all specfications on the Mann Provent Filters:>https://www.mann-hummel.com/fileadmin/user_upload/service/catalogues/pdf/ProVent_en_2013.pdf

Thanks for all the info. I looked on the Mann Hummel web page and it suggested a reroute back into the engine, that was the only reason I was asking. I have collected all of my parts and just started assembling. This thing sure doesn't go anywhere real easy. I was shooting for an install in a nook next to the power steering reservoir with one hose running under the coolant reservoir. Doesn't seem likely with these huge 1" pieces with reducers on them. Anyone have a photo with their provent installed on the passenger side ?

Made a bracket out of aluminum, bolted it to the back side of vacuum reservoir/solenoid assembly and then bolted the ProVent filter bracket to it...
Routed the bottom outlet hose from the filter underneath the coolant reservoir and back to the turbo intake boot.
And yes, it is a tight fit and not a lot of room under the hood anywhere else to mount it since I have a 2 micron secondary fuel filter mounted on the other side of the engine....

Here is mine!

Thank you very much for taking the time to snap a photo of that. It's exactly where I want to install it.

Has anyone been able to install their provent with this connectors there or do they need to be moved?

I went and looked at mine, the ProVent is not long enough that the connectors get in the way, it kinda sets up slightly above them if mounted at the correct height...

Alright, thanks. Was looking at it on Saturday trying to figure out how to fit it in there.
