Hey every one,
I was wondering if our Jeep can take a set of 255\70\18 wheels and tires and what mood would be needed to get it done. I have a friend selling a set for a very good price so I was wondering if they could be fit in the CRD.

without knowing exactly
what tires are being switch From or To:,
what lift mods you already have or whether you have:,
What year / model you are referring to:,
And what wheel-hub back-set exists on the set you are considering:

approximately you are
changing From: 9" width / 29" diameter
changing TO: 10" width / 32" diameter

with all the unknowns, and the fact your steering and suspension would be swinging tires through a completely unknown arc I would guess significant suspension mods would be required, but what that would be, I cannot say.

That tire is 32 inches in diameter.
You would need at least 2.5 inches of lift and there might still be some rubbing.

Whats is the bolt pattern and backspacing of the wheels?
You would probably also need spacers/adapters to make them fit.

No surprises there.
That tire size is only 29 inch diameter.

I run 18x60x255 and with my 2" lift it touches the inner plastic wheel arch on full lock. With a 70 profile I would say you would have to flatten the pinch weld and modify some of the plastics.
