Hey everyone,

We've developed a custom battery tray for the CRD. It should also fit the gasser KJ.

The tray fits a 65 series battery (~950 CCA) and has mounting provisions for the fuse box, glow plug relay, and a Webasto Thermo Top C diesel fired coolant heater. The Webasto heater itself is mounted to the tray underneath the fuse box, and amazingly doesn't touch anything around it. If you're buying this tray and intend top mount a Webasto unit, you'll need the Webasto Kit Part #923369. (Customer is on their own as far as buying, installing and wiring the Webasto kit. We do NOT provide install instructions with this purchase.) Includes all hardware as well as a fitted rubber mat the battery sits on.

Good looking product, How much deeper (front to back) is the 65 series battery. I have my ARB locker compressor mounted to the battery tray and a custom bracket. It sits between the battery and the brake booster right now and don't think it will fit anymore if the 65 series is significantly bigger.

It could mount directly to the side of your battery tray, but doesn't look like there is much room between the battery tray and the end of the brake manifold.

And that sure looks like it would work for the 3.7 as well. Any chance of that being checked out?

Thank you. The dimensions of the 65 series are roughly [L" x W" x H"] 12.10" x 7.50" x 7.60". Meanwhile the factory 34 series is 10.30" x 6.80" x 7.90" (Source: http://www.batteryweb.com/bci.cfm)

We don't have a 3.7L to test on but it should fit. (Can anyone confirm or deny if the 3.7L battery tray is identical to the 2.8L tray?)

I totally don't need this...but I kinda want to get one after seeing it. Maybe I'll wait till my most recent battery calls it quits and upgrade.

I'm pretty sure the battery trays are the same regardless of what engine since they all have the spot for the remote res for PS pumps used in the 2.4 gassers.

Eitherway I'll test it out when it arrives then I only need 1 battery size for both vehicles.Sucks also since I just bought a new Odyessy PC1500DT,oh well it will be easy to sell.

Thanks for your order. This closes out Batch 1.

This item is more popular than I anticipated, so I am going to open up another batch. Same price for now.

A can of spray paint would be a cheap and easy fix for you to do if you don't like the color.

I would love to get this since my fuse box tabs cracked when my wife hit a deer, but after my TB/Head Stud/Rocker arm job I need to not spend any money on this POS for a while.
