My liberty has 393000 and seems like the tranny is slipping, is sluggish taking off and my seat of the pants feel is that it is slipping constant at highway speeds. Also shifting is completely screwed up, doesn't up shift or downshift correctly have to baby the go-go pedal to "help" it shift. IN the old days that would mean my vacuum line was disconnected / leaking :)

Is it the TC or something else? Sensor?

Thanks for any input!

John

Is the check engine light on?
What you describe sounds like the transmission may be stuck in limp mode.
Have you checked fluid level?
When was the last time you changed the fluid and filters?

Is that really 393,000 miles?
At that mileage your transmission could definitely be worn out.
It would also be the highest CRD mileage reported in this site.

Since his username ends in itsn.ca (http://www.itsn.ca/), I'm guessing Canada and 393,000 is in KM. That's still 244k+ miles so not too bad.
