Post subject:  Battery Terminal Replacement

Hi All,

I'm looking to replace both my terminals. It seems that when tightening them they have buckled and now deformed the battery terminal.

So before I replace the battery I want to change the terminals.

What is recommended ie type, size, construction etc. From Google I assume solder ones are the best. It looks pretty easy to do or should I get a professional to do it?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

Chris

Is that what you are talking about https://www.google.co.nz/search?q=milit ... 4GSUCZM%3A

To install are you saying to cut the terminal and drill holes and bolt them on the military terminals

Yes, search google again. I think it's prime 4x4.com, they have the boots that cover them.

Best bet: Cut the cable ends off and install solder lugs!
Get the Battery Cable Terminals - H/D Truck Military Top Post type and bolt everything together. They are super!!!!

I got everything at NAPA,
H/D Truck Military Top Post Part No.s:
PHI 8618 & PHI 8619 (+ & -) part numbers...
