Ever since I got the CRD back in 05, it's had a recurring issue with the right front wheel. at about 40k miles is started a light brake pulsing that increased or decreased with speed. It progressively gets worse over time and at 50k miles the shop said the rotor was warped. Had them turned, new brakes, etc. Within 5k miles the problem started to return and just slowly got worse. Around 70k miles I got new rotors and pads. Issue fixed for another 5k miles or so and then it slowly creaps back in. The right front wheel always has excessive brake dust buildup on the wheels and when I replace that rotor I always have to beat it off with a hammer. So now I'm looking at replacing the hub assembly as I don't see how it could be the brake caliper. Question is, does anyone manufacturer a good part as a replacement that is suitable for the CRD? I've read about Chinese hubs failing quickly and that a Canadian manufacturer has a good one? Maybe I should just get the OEM part #52128692AF? Thanks for any suggestions. |

Sounds like the caliper is sticking on that side. Could be piston or slide pins. Or even a bad / collapsed brake hose. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk |
