got it this afternoon to replace original filter head. my 2006 liberty crd was having the usual quit running with air in the fuel system.
installed the head, hooked everything back up and pumped the filter up and bled the system.
jeep started right up and ran for about 4 minutes before it shut down. this is what it was doing before the swap out. pumped her back up and bled it again, some air came out but the crd will not start. I have bled the fuel system several times since and the pump gets hard after 3-4 pumps.

so what did I do wrong.
thx
bob

You might have some air at the fuel rail and injectors , you can crack open the 4th injector and crank the engine to get the air out.

best way to change the fuel filter without problem is to fill it up with diesel in place just before you screw it on ( I use a mix of injector cleaner and diesel ) that way you get a little to no air in the system !!
