Perhaps but then again I don't know the layout of the right hand drive CRD's engine bay. What I do know is that removal of glow plugs in a left hand drive CRD is VASTLY more difficult than simple removal of spark plugs with the possible except of one vehicle whose make/model/date I don't remember where back spark plug removal required removal of an entire fender. Now if you have removed all the OEM intake elbow "stuff" and replaced with Weeks elbow kit the job is somewhat less difficult.
PS yes they can break but not that easily during removal especially if anti-seize compound is used on reinstall. Chat seems to indicate though that at the first sign of a glow plug CEL they should/must be replaced as breakage in imminent and as noted replacement ceramics are not available except used.
