I specialize in Jeep CRD repairs. I have 3 on my lot. I bought them as a hobby, and I have 1 that is ready to go. It is a silver 2005 and had 94,000. miles on it when I got it, I ran it to 100,000. and then replaced the timing belt and kit. The factory recommends replacement in 6 yrs. or 100,000. which ever comes first. It now has 104,000. miles on it. Good to go another 100,000. Everything is original on it. They claim these engines will run 1 million miles. I am asking $7500. for it. I am located in central PA.

The age limit from Gates (manufacturer of all the belts) is 6 years, not 8.

This was an ID parts kit, which costs $399.. As far as 6 yrs goes on the belt, it depends on which website you look at. Jeep CRD recommends 100,000. miles or 8 yrs. It is ready for another 100,000. miles. I have been working on these Jeeps for years and I did the job myself. Not some rookie that just started at some dealership. If you are interested in it, let me know. P.S. I have probably changed at least a half dozen in the last few yrs. Most have at least 150,000. miles, they have been lucky.

A half dozen belts? Cool.

I've worked on over 60 of these now, all across the country. I've done a half dozen since June. ;)
Best of luck selling it, I'm not your buyer.

The recommendation is 6 years not 8. Like Geordi stated. Nevertheless good luck with sale
