I mounted my Kennedy lift pump in the cavity above the rear differential.

I was looking around under there and am now wondering if I put it in harms way.

Does the rear differential have much up/down travel when driving?

If it moves more than a couple inches it could contact my pump...

Measure the distance between the bumpstop and plate it hits on the rear diff, that is how far the diff can travel upwards before being stopped.

It was pretty close so I moved the fuel pump - now shouldn't have to worry when hitting a big thump...
