Yes ... so after installing the belt i pulled the viscous relay from the box. Not long after that (about 3km) the ETC lamp came up. I pulled over turned the key off and then back on and it went away. I then plugged in my DTC reader and only thing it found was thermostat temp too low ... i guess that kindof makes sense now that i disabled the viscous heater(thinking it might of not been a good idea without removing the fan as well). Odd thing is after about a 20 minute ride the check engine light was on and i hooked up the code reader again and its giving me this High speed CAN comunication bus performance code.

Any ideas ?

Do these codes have numbers that we can lookup and verify?

Reason is, Im not aware of any thermostat temp code. And if there was, it would be a very common code for every CRD owner.
So I suspect your code scanner is mis-interpreting these codes.

Read this article at OBD-codes.com, it gives a fairly good synopsis of the issue:> https://www.obd-codes.com/u0001

The readers often don't tell you the correct code information. As stated above, it's best to take the code number and go look it up in the P-code thread in the CRD tech section

I know I had a bad glow plug a few months back and torque pro was telling me it was something totally different
