Post subject:  remote oil cooler

a while back some one posted a diagram of the oil flow thru the block tried searching no luck
I am building a remote oil cooler in place of original cooler with thermostatic controlled samwitch plate adaptor
need to know flow route

Please post pictures of how to do this.
Im very interested.

In the diagram it looks like oil goes from pickup, to pump, to cooler, to filter, then everywhere else.
So it seems that you cant just remove the factory oil cooler without putting something else in its place.

thank you its what i was looking for. Will take me about 2 weeks to finish as I am not home right now will post results thenc
I hoping it will help heat oil faster in winter as we get cold here at @ -10c takes 8-10 miles to drop to 50psi reverse in summer

Is there nothing on the market already? All you would need is the sandwich plate with the same diameter?? Also from memory on my wrx they are reasonably thick. Would clearance be an issue with the already low oil filter?

Interested to see the outcome though...good luck
