Has anyone changed the bearings in the fan bracket? Is it possible? I was thinking of attempting it and if it didn't work out just buy the new one.

Mine is was rough last time I checked it and a new one from the dealer is $350 cnd. From Id parts with shipping and exchange is probably at least $300.

If the pully is press fit I'm assuming you need a bit of heat to remove it. After that I'm not sure.

There is a Mopar one on eBay for 170 + shipping...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Bracket ... YP&vxp=mtr
another one for 157 at:
http://www.drivefordparts.com/dodge-514 ... n-bracket/

If you can come up with just the bearing number, please share...

id parts.com fan pulley and bracket is 200.00 I believe, no exchange needed. I'm sure the bearing is replaceable, if you have a good hydraulic press and a torch. goodluck!

I think he meant currency exchange and import fees.

Ya that's what I ment. Lol. Anyway I'll just buy a new one and then experiment with the old one.

Make sure to get it shipped usps so you can avoid import fees. No import fees on mail(hence usps).

My fan bracket bearing went out Thursday and I'm waiting on 2nd day air shipping to bring me a new one. I am stranded at home and I'm unsure if I have all the tools required to change it. Can someone give a list of the tools needed so I can have someone bring them to me?

13mm socket and ratchet
possibly a 15mm socket, can't remember
large adjustable wrench; I think I bought either a 15" or 18" and it worked well

I don't remember what size for sure is the one that releases and resets the serpentine belt tensioner, but you'll probably want a box end for that. 15mm?
