| Post subject: | Suspention settling time |
Tried to search this and didnt find much results. HOw long does it take for the suspension to settle? i ask because i had a 1.5" OME lift that i upgraded with 2.5" JBA coils int he rear and top plate and clevis spacers in the front. the difference is the front sits about 1" higher then the rear and i need to know if i should remove the clevis spacer or if the front is gona settle a whole inch. |

There is no specific time for settling. If you ask me, I think it looks good being slightly higher in the front. |

Vehicles tend to handle best when the suspension is even. I dont mind the from being 1/2" higher than the back but anything greater could shift weight around too much. also a little concerned about the wear on the CVs. |

Have you maxed out on upper isolators in the rear? You can stack up to 3 of them to gain more lift. I had to do this on my OME kit to level it out. |

no isolators in the rear, rather bring the front down 1/2" compared to raising the rear 1" |

I have the same exact setup. JBA 2.5" springs in the rear, OME 790's, top plate, and clevis in the front. Mine sat nose high even with the ARB bumper. I ended up putting an extra ISO in the rear which puts it even as long as I dont have weight in the back. Mine has been in for a year and a half now and only came down slightly. I have also considered dropping the front slightly as I agree that I think it is quite close to being an issue where it is now. I bounce the upper arms off the pockets if I go over any dips or drops. |

I removed the clevis spacers to bring the front end down to 2.5" of lift. I will probably end up adding iso's when i have to check change out the shocks. It seems its commen for the OME lift to sit higher then 1.5", it seems most people record it between 2-2.5" initially and it settles between .25-5" after a while. |
