Testing the throttle-response in "park", it behaves normally up until about 3300rpms and then it hits a hard ceiling. Why? I'm hoping it's just the ECU defaulting to 'limp mode' while it recalibrates following all the systems being dismantled, but insight appreciated. |

A lot of vehicles these days have a separate, lower rev limiter when the transmission's in park or neutral. Never tried it on a CRD but it could be that. |

Might be the inlet air pressure sensor. Check to make sure the small plug on the side of the airbox is plugged in |

JWS- not sure if anybody has informed you lately, so please permit me: YOU D' MAN! Thanks! Plugged-in that pos sensor and sheee-zam! Normal throttle-response, no governor. Hmmm... wonder what else I spaced. Doh! Plugged-in my OBD to scope codes. Familiar EGR (post-sasq. Pre-GDE) code, also "external air temperature sensor circuit low", and "massive fuel leak" which can't be current. Loving the post-op idle; only 2rpms of variation, 760-62. I assume that the ECU requires X cycles and X operating time/distance to fully recalibrate. No? |
