Going by memory since I don't have a CRD to look at. The TCM electrical plug is held in place by a bolt that goes into a captured plastic "nut" (see chat at
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=85950&p=904509&hilit=tcm#p904509 including linked chat that has a picture). It's easy to "spin" that "nut" although how they managed to do in when trying to remove the bolt escapes me; my nasty suspicious mind suspects the ratchet was set to tighten when first applied.
In any case if the head of the bolt has been ground off you should be able to remove the plug. I don't recall any "fingers" holding the plug in place but I do recall it took some forceful but gentle prying to get it off as it's on there REALLY tight.
