My drivers side parking brake cable got "sawed" apart by the hanger under the vehicle. Was thinking of installing a new cable and was wondering how big of a job it is?

Seats, carpet, console etc need to be removed?

Yep the rear seats, carpet, and center console will need to be removed.

It's a major pain in the rear,I had to do it on my KJ when I switched to disc brakes in the rear.

What chance is there that I can use the old cable like a fish-tape to pull the new one into place without pulling seats/carpet.

Not happening since you have to disconnect the cable under the carpet which means the seats must come out also.

The rear seats are super easy to remove but be very careful with the bolts, some are thick shouldered bolts with 8mm threaded ends that easily break and they are a dealer only item and beyond expensive.
