Ex-wife took KJ to a diesel shop to replace an OEM ceramic glow plug from spares I had collected. A week or two later, the CEL came back. They have a Starscan and came up with a code (she did not get it, unfortunately) that they said either meant a problem with the harness or a glow plug controller.

Does each glow plug have its own separate controller or is there just one that handles all four?

Any thoughts on this?

One controller handles all 4? Do you recall the code? 1261,1263,1265, 1267 are the glowplug codes. Why are you replacing with other used ceramics? It's possible one of them is already bad

Yes its one GP controller which then splits to the 4 plugs via the harness. Its possible the harness could be bad.
