Hi all first post here but been lurking a while. Just wanted to know if anyone had bypassed the baffle on the intercooler intake and if it makes any difference at all or just more noise.

What baffle are you talking about?
I know of no "baffle" in the turbo or intercooler.

The intake flow path goes like this:
air filter box -> turbo inlet hose -> turbo -> turbo outlet hose -> intercooler -> intercooler outlet hose -> flow control valve (FCV) -> intake manifold

Maybe you are talking about the FCV?
The FCV is like a throttle body but its only purpose is to control engine intake and EGR flow.
If this is what you mean, then yes, the FCV can be deleted.
Most of us delete the FCV by installing this kit https://shop.sasquatchparts.com/products/egr-delete-jeep-liberty-crd/ which also deletes the EGR valve.
Probably the best modification you can do for your engine.

This is the baffle, it's on a 2011 KK 2.8.

After turbo and pre intercooler.

You definitely aren't from US... We don't have KK with diesel here, just the previous model, kj. We also don't have any intercooler pipes on ours, other than what was made custom.

This being said, I believe that black pipe is in there to help with hose expansion and maybe add some oil resistance. I guarantee that by replacing it with a silicone hose or with some other pipe, you won't improve the vehicle behavior nor add more turbo noise. The easiest is to make turbo noise is to replace the air snorkel, air filter and the connection from filter to turbo.

We (at least Americans and Canadians) can't help you too much with details because your vehicle hasn't been sold here and we have no knowledge regarding any KK diesel aftermarket parts.
