If you want to fix it for good and never worry about air in fuel again, install a lift pump inside the fuel tank!
Many on this forum have done that with great results and no negatives.
Your CRD is wired from the factory for a lift pump including a relay and wiring to under a rear seat connector.
Only need to add two wires from this connector to the top of the fuel tank and install the lift pump and forget air in fuel forever! Some also report a smoother idle as well with the addition of a lift pump!
The OEM fuel line fittings are designed to work under pressure, not vacuum, so if you install an in-tank fuel pump they will work just fine....
