Just had a flashing ETC light while driving. Turned it off for 15 min, drove for 3-4 min and it came back on. Anyone have experience with this ?

Make sure you are not using the throttle pedal while resting the other foot on the brake pedal!

That is the light that comes on when you use the brake and the throttle at the same time.

When the ETC light comes on it generally means there's a problem with the Accelerator Pedal Position Sensors or one of the wiring circuits connected to it.

You did not list your year model; if it is an 06 be sure and check the wiring harness where it passes behind the fuel filter head assembly, there is a known issue of wiring chaffing at this location.

Check all wiring and connector at the accelerator pedal and make sure everything is ok.
If problem persists, you may have to replace the Accelerator Pedal Sensor assembly...

Keep us posted as to what you find.

Sorry 2005 crd, running with MAF unplugged and MANN provent.

In poking around last night the battery light also came on. Put a meter on the battery and got roughly 10.5, started the jeep to see what the alternator was giving it and nothing changed, still 10.5. So I'm going to install a new alternator and go from there. Thanks for the quick reply!

OEM is 160 amps!
I just replaced mine last year with this one from Autozone and it comes with a lifetime warranty.
It also comes with a new override clutch pulley, a big plus!!!
They also allowed me to remove the fairly new Litens Overrunning Alternator Decoupler (OAD) Pulley on my bad alternator that I had just replaced a few months earlier before turning it in for a core!

AUTOZONE Part No. Part Number: 15457

Notes: * With clutch override pulley * Premium reman
Alternator Diameter: 128mm
Alternator Fan: Internal
Alternator Mounting Brackets Included: No
Alternator Output Amperage (A): 160
Alternator Regulation: Integral

I stand corrected.
Rockauto lists a 150 amp and a 160 amp.
So definitely go with the 160 amp.
